Virtues of Miswak / Siwak

VIRTUES OF MISWAK // SIWAK

The miswak (miswaak, siwak, sewak, Arabic: سواك‎ or مسواك) is a teeth cleaning twig made from the Salvadora persica tree (known as arāk, أراك, in Arabic). It is reputed to have been used over 7000 years ago. Miswak is basically a pencil-sized stick 15 to 20 cm long with a diameter of 1 to 1.5 cm from Arak (Salvadora persica) or the Toothbrush tree. They are used as an oral hygiene tool mostly in the Middle Eastern.

But above all it was a SUNNAH of our prophet Muhammed (sal).  the Prophet said, "Were it not (for the fear) of overburdening my Ummah, I would have ordered them to (brush their teeth with) Siwak at every Salat. (Sahih Muslim) A'ishah narrates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The siwak is a means of purifying the mouth and pleasing the Rabb." (Nasai).

The Ulama Say that there at least 70 benifits of using the Siwak / Miswak. We will look at some of them :

1. It increases barakah in wealth

2. Improves Memory

3. The Person is able to recite the kalima at the time of death.

Sadr al-Shariah Allama Amjad Ali Al-Aazami stated: The Masha’ikh have mentioned that a person (believer) who is habitual of making Miswak, will be blessed with the opportunity of being able to recite the Kalima at the time of his death and that person who uses opium, will not be blessed with the opportunity of reciting the Kalima at the time of his death. [Bahar-e-Shari’at, Vol. 2, Page 288]

4. Improves Eyesight.

5.  The reward of Salaah increases 70 times.

Abu Nu’aym narrates on the authority of Hadrat Jaabir (Radi Allahu Anhu) that Rasoolullah ﷺ said, ‘To perform 2 Raka’ats after performing Miswak is more exalted than 70 Raka’ats which is performed without performing Miswak.’ [Al-Targhib wa at-Tarheeb, Vol. 1, Page 102, Hadith 18]

It is unfortunate that these days this Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ is largely forgotten. May Allah help us revive this Sunnah. Ameen

3 Steps for a Successful Life

Assalamu Alaikum.

Success in Islam means to lead a good life in this world and also go to Jannah after your death. If these 3 steps are followed you can be successful in this life but to be successful in the afterworld you will need to do good deeds consistently and you must do it to attain Allah (swt)'s mercy. This is the way you can enter paradise.

Step 1
Believe In ALLAH

BELEIVING IN ALLAH IS THE KEY AND FOUNDATION IN LIFE.

a person who does not believe in Allah will never believe in qadar. and will not believe in Islam and therefore he cannot beleive in Allahs power.

If you believe in Allah then you will believe Allah can do anything he wants. So If you believe that Allah will make you successful, then INSHALLAH you will become successful

YOU MUST BELEIVE THAT ALLAH WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL.

Step 2
Believe in yourself

Believe in yourself and try as hard as you can to achieve your goals. And you will have Allah swt 's Help in achieving them (as long as they are halal).

Believing in yourself also helps to :

            1) boost your confidence

            2) you have positive attitude that helps you succeed

            3) All your negative thoughts fade away

Step 3
Planning

Planning is the process of thinking about the actions you must take to achieve a your goal.

an example in Islam About planning

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) praised Sa’id ibn Mu’ath for his vision and plan, before the actual fight in the Battle of Badr. Sa’id’s layout centered around the safety of the Prophet, rather than just the present circumstances of the battle. The following was the plan he presented:

Oh Prophet of Allah, let us build a shelter for you and stall your riding camels in readiness beside it. Then we will meet our enemy, and if God strengthens us and makes us victorious over them, that is what we fervently desire. But if not, then you can mount and ride back to join those whom we left behind us in Medina…they would not have stayed behind, if they had known that you would be faced with war. Through them, God will protect you, and they will give you good counsel and fight at your side. -Ibn Hisham

The Prophet (PBUH) praised Sa’id and invoked blessings upon him. The shelter fashioned with branches of palms.

the above hadith was inspired to me by this website :https://islamic-study.org/planning-in-islam/

IF YOU FOLLOW ALL THESE 3 STEPS IN YOUR LIFE THEN INSHALLAH YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL.
